ACE Trains announce a photo Competition.
The subject matter must depict any piece of ACE equipment either on its own or with other ACE items with or without other makes.
Entries on digital, print (post card minimum size) or transparency. Black and white or colour.
All entries to be submitted to ACE Trains PO Box 2985 London W11 2WP no later than March 1st 2009.
The three judges are:
Chris Greabe has been involved with photographic processes as a professional and is one of the leading photographers of toy railway equipment as evidenced in several editions of his seminal work in the 'Hornby Companion Series' namely Volume 5 'The Hornby Gauge 0 System.'
Marcus Lyons is a highly regarded photographer whose work includes corporate and commercial assignments throughout the world. One minor diversion was his photography for the Trix book published by New Cavendish in the 1980's.
Allen Levy whose 'A Century of Model Trains' published in 1973 still retains much affection some 35 years on makes up the panel of Judges.
The Judges decision is final and will be announced no later than October 15 2008.
Prizes
1st Prize - £200 of photographic equipment plus one year’s subscription to the ACE Trains owners club. Should the winner be an existing member then this subscription is transferable to a non-member.
2nd prize - £100 of photographic equipment plus membership as above.
Any other entry that the judges deem worthy of publication will receive a fee of £30 on publication either on the web or on other media in connection with promoting ACE Trains All photographers names will be credited if their pictures are used. Copyright remains with the photographer.
